With just a short message on a piece of paper, two cat families were left in a sealed box by a stranger in front of the animal shelter in Lower Austria.
Employees of the St. Pölten animal shelter recently made a shocking discovery: They discovered a box taped shut in front of the entrance, the contents of which stunned them. Because the box contained no food donations, but live Oriental Shorthair cats.
Two to three weeks old
Three adult cats and seven kittens, to be precise. The kittens are about two to three weeks old, the male has not been neutered and the two mothers are still waiting to be rescued.
No indication of the owner
There are no concrete clues about the owner. There was only a note in the box stating that the care of the animals was no longer possible. The stranger also asked that he take good care of her.
Of course, this now happens in the animal shelter, where they also have to receive medical care. Because all cats have a bad runny nose and sticky eyes. “Due to the extra high costs for the care of the two cat families, we urgently ask for support in the form of a donation,” the animal shelter hopes for support.
