Anyone who wants to become a teacher at a teaching school can submit their documents to the Directorate of Education from April 1 to 16. The vacancy for teachers in compulsory education in Burgenland is still open. Christoph Windisch, chairman of the central committee of the teacher staff representation, hopes that many will sign up: “Vienna and Vorarlberg currently have the largest teacher shortage. Yet here, especially in the secondary school sector, you already clearly notice that there is no longer the necessary number of qualified teachers.”
