A whole gang of young people carried out a very cowardly action in Dornbirn (Vorarlberg) on Tuesday evening. Two Romanian men were first approached by two girls and then assaulted by the gang.
On Tuesday evening, two girls approached two Romanian men aged 32 and 35 in the center of Dornbirn – near the Europa Passage. Suddenly, a group of about fifteen young people between the ages of 15 and 20 rushed towards the men. The boys with a migrant background started hitting the two men.
The fight eventually moved to Markstrasse. There the youths kicked the Romanians to the ground and attacked them with bottles and chairs. The 32-year-old victim suffered multiple hematomas and lacerations to the head and face. The 35-year-old was seriously injured by a cut in his neck. According to the attending physician, the artery was missed by only three millimeters.
Witnesses sought, investigation ongoing
After the attack, the gang fled on foot. However, one of the suspects ended up in the police net and was already questioned about the incident. Police are now looking for witnesses to the incident. If you have observed anything suspicious, please contact Dornbirn Police Station.
