An almost two-year-old girl from Serbia has been missing since last Tuesday. Now a man came forward to say he may have seen the toddler at a tram stop in Vienna. He was informed of the missing person case via social media.
The girl disappeared unnoticed a week ago from the garden of her parents’ weekend house in the town of Banjsko Polje near the city of Bor. A large-scale search and investigation has so far yielded nothing. A manhunt with photo has now been published on the Interpol website. That’s why Danka turns two years old in June, has brown hair and a birthmark on her left upper arm. The girl is about 85 centimeters tall.
Authorities informed
Now there could be a lead to Vienna. Serbian authorities said a Serb living in Vienna may have seen the one-year-old in the city center on Saturday evening. She was accompanied by two women who spoke Romanian. The witness first contacted Serbian authorities and informed them of his observations. They then turned to the Vienna police requesting an investigation.
Video protected
The man was then interviewed and a video he recorded of the incident was secured. Whether it is actually the missing little Serb is currently being investigated. There is no further information yet, says police spokesman Markus Dittrich.
