Months of search – Prisoner escapes from Tyrol captured in Morocco

A 39-year-old prisoner who escaped from Innsbruck prison in July last year was arrested in Morocco in mid-March. The German was sentenced to 20 months in prison in December 2022. The German was imprisoned in Tyrol for various property crimes. After his disappearance, cross-border cooperation with Germany and Turkey eventually led investigators to Morocco.

Prisoner is returned to Austria
There he was arrested by the Moroccan police at Casablanca airport on March 17. Once the formalities are completed, the man is transferred to Austria and imprisoned again.
