Shock moment in Norway: In the south of the country, a nearly 150-meter-long bridge collapsed on Monday (see video above). A car and a truck parked on the wooden bridge at the time of the accident partially ended up in the water.
The two drivers are doing well, a police spokesperson said. The person in the car was able to free himself.
Truck driver rescued by helicopter
The truck driver was rescued by helicopter. The bridge in the municipality of Øyer north of Lillehammer is still relatively new, the spokesman said.
At first he couldn’t say why it collapsed. Initially, nothing was known about possible victims, the police reported on Twitter.
All local rescue workers were sent to the wooden bridge in Tretten.
