About 70 firefighters are fighting a fire in a car workshop near the Südring in Klagenfurt on Friday morning. There are two injured.
The fire was noticed shortly before 5am – the Florianis were there straight away! “When the fire brigade arrived on the scene, the car repair shop was already completely ablaze,” press spokesperson Wolfgang Germ told the “Krone”. There is an apartment directly above the workshop – two people were injured and taken to hospital with suspected smoke poisoning; they are probably the owners of the workshop.
Although the fire brigade has now got the fire under control, the operation is expected to last several hours. “It is currently unclear what caused the fire!”
The fire brigade was able to report a fire around 8 a.m., but follow-up work is still ongoing.
