Dozens of houses were damaged near Mönchengladbach in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia on Thursday. As reported by a fire brigade spokesperson, who was also an eyewitness to the weather phenomenon, a tornado is suspected to be the cause.
In Korschenbroich about 20 houses were damaged. The roof of one house was even completely covered. According to the police, there have been no reports of injuries.
