A monster truck show in the northern German city of Hamburg was canceled on Saturday due to excessive emissions. An 11-year-old boy was taken to hospital with suspected carbon monoxide poisoning, the fire brigade said.
The fire brigade had already been warned on Saturday afternoon because the organizer of the ‘Monster Jam’ had measured an increased CO concentration. However, because the fire brigade found lower values, the show was continued at a reduced pace.
Two scheduled shows canceled
The fire brigade was alerted again around 5 p.m.: an eleven-year-old boy had become ill in the hallway and complained of a headache. The show was then over. Organizers announced on the Barclays Arena website that the show scheduled for Saturday evening and Sunday had also been cancelled.
