In Austria, 2621 new corona infections have been reported in the past 24 hours (from 9.30 am on Saturday). On Saturday a week ago, there were exactly 1766 new cases. Four other people infected with the virus died.
So far there are 4,264,738 positive test results in Austria. At 9:30 am, 18,669 people across Austria had died as a result of the coronavirus, 4,210,181 had recovered. There are currently 460 patients in hospital treatment. Of these, 43 are treated in intensive care.
The new infections are distributed among the individual federal states as follows:

- Lower Austria: 641
- Upper Austria: 366
- Salzburg: 79
- Styria: 240
- Tyrol: 174
- Vorarlberg: 107
- Vienna: 815
