The incident took place at a restaurant on Wednesday around 8:29 p.m. According to witnesses, there was initially a verbal argument between a 39-year-old German and a group of holidaymakers.
Moments later, the situation escalated: two people from the group eventually attacked the man and attacked him with their fists. The blows caused him to fall to the ground. However, that did not deter the strangers. They kept hitting him.
As a result, the German suffered significant facial injuries. “When witnesses tried to come to the victim’s aid, the unknown perpetrators fled,” police said. A witness made an emergency call. The injured man was examined by paramedics but refused further treatment.
