Now it’s official. The ORF has announced the final end of its collaboration with star gymnast Philipp Jelinek. Armin Assinger is one of the stars who will now succeed Jelinek.
The gymnast had been on holiday since early April after explosive conversations with ex-vice chancellor Heinz Christian Strache emerged. As the “Krone” already reported, the ORF has now finally said goodbye to its star gymnast.
Opening with Conny Kreuter
On Thursday, the media company also confirmed this in a broadcast in which it thanked Jelinek “for the successful collaboration” and wished him “all the best for the future”.
From now on, next Wednesday at 9:10 am, “Fit with the Stars” starts on ORF2. In the future, a different celebrity will perform as a gymnast every week to motivate Austrians to do morning exercises. In addition to professional dancer Conny Kreuter, presenter Armin Assinger, Andi Goldberger and Hans Knauß are also present.
Jelinek had recently spoken about a mistake. But he was never – as rumored – Strache’s fitness trainer, but simply trained in the same studio: “If I had known Werner Kogler, Sebastian Kurz, Pamela Rendi-Wagner or anyone else then, of course I would have known them too . . .”
