Three young people are currently in custody in Germany on suspicion of terrorism (see video above). They are accused of planning an Islamist-motivated terrorist attack. Security sources said the youths had formed a chat group for the purpose.
However, there would have been no concrete plan of attack with a time and place. The researchers “absolutely saw the danger.” House searches also took place.
The arrestees are a 15-year-old from Düsseldorf, a 15-year-old from the Soest district and a 16-year-old from the Märkischer Kreis (all from North Rhine-Westphalia). They allegedly agreed to commit murder and manslaughter in connection with the preparation of a serious act of violence that would endanger the state.
A similar case in November
As recently as November, two 15- and 16-year-old teenagers were arrested on suspicion of terrorism and alleged sympathy with the Islamic State. You are accused of planning an attack on a Christmas market with a vehicle.
No fuel was found during searches. At the time, the young people were taken into custody in North Rhine-Westphalia and Brandenburg.
