Siren alarm Friday morning in Wiener Neustadt! A roof structure was completely on fire and emergency services were needed. At the same time, the Florianis were also alerted to a car fire. Meanwhile, a parked car rolled into another car on the ÖBB parking deck.
In the morning hours, the emergency services of the Wiener Neustadt volunteer fire brigade were alerted to a roof fire. The flames were even visible from the highway and from the train. When the fire brigade arrived, smoke was coming from the roof from all angles. “We immediately started an extensive attack on the site in Siglgasse using the turntable ladder and with a respiratory protection team on the interior attack,” says operations manager and fire chief of Wiener Neustadt Christian Pfeiffer. The Florianis quickly opened the roof and fought the flames.
High material damage
The experienced commander explains that the damage is still extensive: “The fire must have been penetrating under the roof for some time.” His advice: install smoke detectors. Because early warning of the fire brigade would prevent such devastating fires.
Car fire quickly extinguished
The Florianis had previously been alerted to a car fire. It turned out to be a household fire. The fire brigade quickly had the flames under control. “A volunteer fire brigade calls for action in two places at the same time, with possible respiratory protection. “Luckily the locations were only a minute apart,” Pfeiffer said.
Vehicle rolled into parked car
The helpers completed another mission in the early morning hours. Because a parked car on the ÖBB parking deck had rolled into another car.
Shortly after 8 a.m., most of the team was able to return to the fire station. A fun morning for the volunteers!
