Thousands of visitors to the Snowbombing music festival in Mayrhofen celebrated the legendary street party on Thursday – including unusual costumes and unusual dance moves. The advertising value for the entire region is priceless. The “Krone” was in the middle of it and even met the world famous band Rudimental.
It all started with a private group from Great Britain who came to Mayrhofen to enjoy the combination of snowboarding and partying for days. This led to the development of the professional snowbombing event. Gareth Cooper is considered the founder and to this day he is the boss and creative head of this special music festival. During the day you can enjoy the slopes and DJs in the mountain huts, in the evening you can enjoy the valley streets, bars and discos – in an endless loop.
