Two boys aged twelve and fourteen years old threatened and robbed a total of five children and teenagers in Vienna with a knife on Saturday evening. They beat one of their victims so severely that the boy had to be treated in hospital.
At around 9:15 p.m., the two Syrians attacked the group at a bus stop in the Alsergrund district. They threatened the boys between the ages of ten and fifteen with a butterfly knife. They stole the mobile phone, Bluetooth headphones and clothes of a 14-year-old Austrian.
The two attackers hit a 15-year-old. He was taken to hospital with injuries.
At the age of twelve, he was still of legal age
The two suspects were arrested by police officers a short time later at the bus stop. The 14-year-old was arrested and his accomplice was released. However, because he is not yet criminally liable at the age of twelve, he should not expect any criminal consequences.
The two boys had thrown away the butterfly knife. Police dogs were able to detect this during a search.
