Spectacular accident on Saturday evening on the Inntal highway in the Tyrolean lowlands: after a car hit a deer, another van drove into the car at full speed. The three occupants were injured. The wild animal died.
The accident happened shortly after 3 a.m. near Angath in the Tyrolean district of Kufstein. A 20-year-old local woman was driving her car on the A12 when she suddenly collided with a deer. “The woman then stopped her vehicle. The 42-year-old driver of a van apparently noticed this too late and drove into the car,” the police said.

The force of the impact spun the local’s car, throwing him off the highway. Eventually the car came to a complete stop on the adjacent dike.
