A serious accident occurred in St. Veit in the vicinity (Murau district of Styria) on Friday evening: On a municipal road, a 39-year-old motorist left the road with his car and fell from a steep embankment. With cries for help, he managed to draw attention to himself and three residents saved him.
At about 6:15 pm, the 39-year-old drove his car on the municipal road from Velden in the direction of St. Veit in the area. The car came to the right of the road, fell over a steep slope, overturned and after about 50 meters came to rest on the roof.

The man was unable to get out of the vehicle and began screaming for help. His calls were overheard by a 60-year-old resident at around 6:30 p.m. Together with two men (aged 46 and 19), who happened to pass the scene of the accident, she managed to free the driver from the wreckage. The injured man was eventually taken to hospital by the Frisian Red Cross.

The vehicle was a total loss. The vehicle rescue was carried out by the Neumarkt and Mühlen voluntary fire brigades, which were deployed with a total of 52 people and six vehicles. A breath analysis was negative.
