Israel’s anti-missile air defense system has been known to fend off attacks by Palestinian militias in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict so far. However, this Saturday the country suffered an unprecedented attack, in this case from Iran.
Tehran launched an offensive with hundreds of drones and missiles against Israel in retaliation for Israel’s “repeated crimes,” including the April 1 bombing of the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
According to Israeli authorities, they have neutralized “99%” of the attacks, thanks to the anti-aircraft system of Israel and its allies. This system consists of several layers, the best known of which is the Iron Dome, specialized in short-range missiles. Is that how it works?
