After the major fire in Lenzing, eight fire brigades were again deployed in the evening to a dangerous fire in Upper Austria. A fire broke out in a residential building in St. Pantaleon (Upper Austria). At least fifteen people had to be rescued. A tenant jumped from the second floor.
Dramatic scenes on Friday evening in the Innviertel. The alarm was raised in St. Pantaleon at 5:15 p.m. Eight fire brigades are currently being deployed to bring the flames in a residential building under control.
Large rescue contingent
The Red Cross was also on site with five vehicles and at least 15 people were rescued from the home. One tenant was so desperate that he even jumped from the second floor. He ended up in a garden and was probably not seriously injured. It is currently unclear whether and how seriously the other people were injured. The Red Cross crisis intervention team (KIT) also arrived on site to support the population.
