Several fire brigades were deployed in a fire in Mallenitzen (Carinthia) on Sunday: A fire broke out in a residential building. The inhabitants of the house were unlucky: the mother and her two children – one and two years old – were able to save themselves from the fire!
The flames rose from the house, the smoke rose in columns and could be seen from afar. The fire was caused by overheated oil left in a pot on the electric stove in the home’s kitchen. The flames quickly spread to the entire first floor apartment as well as the attic and rafter.
Seven fire brigades from the area were deployed:

- Many times
- latschach
- Godersdorf
- St. Jakob im Rosental
The tenant – a 23-year-old woman and mother – managed to get herself and her two children to safety in time. She was able to leave the house with the toddlers aged one and two, no one was hurt!
