The former MP Faika El-Nagashi leaves the Greens with immediate effect. She speaks about years of internal hostility and bullying against the “crown”.
El-Nagashi became damn her attitude in women’s issues. In a “MOT” interview, three years ago, she warned that men could only be women by self -declaration. A corresponding law was implemented in Germany.
A huge shit storm followed, transgender activists from that moment on. However, she has not received any support from her party to this day, says El-Nagashi. Finally, a party exclusion procedure even ran into them.
“Then it happened with the rights of women”
“If a woman becomes random, this has also happened to women’s rights,” says El-Nagashi. It refers to protected rooms for women, such as showers in swimming pools, hospital room and accommodation for girls at school trips. “These rooms should not be occupied by men.”
El-Nagashi joined the Greens in 2013, was a district councilor in Vienna-Mariahilf, Vienna member of the State Parliament and a member of the National Council.
“The Greens were always a place for different opinions,” she says. However, that was over. “It’s a shame what has become of the greens.”
Judith Pühringer, chairman of the Viennese Greens, says about the “Krone”: “In recent years there has been a alienation between Faika El-Nagashi and the Greens as a explained human rights party. We are noticeable as a Viennese state organization.”
