A head-on traffic accident with three injuries occurred on the Gerlossrasse (B165) near Mittersill on Friday evening: a Carinthian driver (60) collided head-on with the car of a Pinzgauer (17). Police say they had to turn away spectators.
Three people were injured in the serious traffic accident, the director reports. What seems clear from the investigation: A Carinthian (60) was probably driving his car on the B165 towards Hollersbach. At the same time, a 17-year-old drove his car in the oncoming direction. Both vehicles collided and both cars are a total loss.
The precise circumstances of the accident are unclear. For this reason, the Public Prosecution Service has ordered the seizure of both vehicles involved in the accident and commissioned an expert to draw up a report.
So far, the three injured people have not been heard, police say. They were taken to nearby hospitals by rescuers. The Mittersill fire brigade was able to clear the accident scene within an hour.
Spectators as a problem
Addition to the police report: “In addition to the emergency workers, who cared for the injured until the emergency services arrived, numerous spectators also gathered at the scene of the accident, who had to be sent away by the police.”
