On Friday evening there was another attack on a Viennese tobacconist, during which an employee was threatened with a firearm. Once again the masked perpetrator was able to escape with the loot. It is the fourth armed robbery in nine days.
Around 7 p.m., a masked man stormed a tobacconist in Vienna-Favoriten with a gun and threatened an employee. The perpetrator then fled with cash. An immediately initiated search has so far been unsuccessful.
This is the fourth robbery of a tobacconist in just a few days.
On Thursday, a tobacconist in Vienna-Favoriten was robbed in the same way. Last week, two tobacco shops were robbed on Wednesday: one in Floridsdorf, the other in Währing.
The police have not ruled out a connection, at least not with the first two crimes, and are investigating at full speed. Because the suspect lost his cap in the coups in Währing and Floridsdorf, the police have already been able to publish mugshots and are asking for relevant information.
