A 27-year-old policewoman was hit by a car in Dornbirn (Vorarlberg) on Thursday evening and hit while she was directing traffic. A 74-year-old driver had overlooked the woman standing on the road, the director said.
The 27-year-old had set out with colleagues to record an accident at the intersection of Raiffeisenstrae and Erlosenstrae. The traffic situation made it necessary to manually control traffic, which the 27-year-old took over.
The 74-year-old reduced his speed in the vicinity of the accident but overlooked the police officer and collided with her. The police officer suffered minor injuries in the collision and was taken to Dornbirn Hospital. The driver of the car was not injured.
