In Waidhofen an der Ybbs, Lower Austria, the municipal construction site has now developed a very special waste bin – especially for pizza boxes.
Not only on holiday in Italy, but also in this country tons of pizzas are eaten. The so-called “pizza boom” is not only reflected in the strong increase in searches on online sales platforms – there are more and more searches for pizza ovens or pizza stones in particular – but also in the cityscape of Waidhofen an der Ybbs. A waste bin has recently been installed specifically for pizza boxes.
Creative construction team
It was developed and built by the hardworking team at the municipal construction site. The innovative container serves an important purpose: the public garbage bins are not suitable for disposing of pizza boxes due to their opening dimensions. The new, square box of the pizza trash can is designed exactly to the square size of the boxes. This means that there are no more boxes in the normal garbage bins.
“A clean city center is not only a sign of quality of life, but also increases the quality of life of all citizens and visitors to our beautiful city,” say Mayor Werner Krammer and his deputy Armin Bahr about the new achievement.
The prototype of the manure bin is now on the Benedenstadsplein. More copies will follow in other locations in the coming months.
