A 22-year-old forestry worker suffered a “very serious” industrial accident this Wednesday while working on Mount El Peso, in Artzentales (Bizkaia), as reported by the ELA union.
As the union has reported, the young operator had only been working for two months and according to the first data collected by ELA, the accident occurred in the morning when, apparently, the employee of the company Forestal Bejarano e Hijo SL and who had already been working for two worked in the sector for months, was hit by a fallen pine tree. According to ELA’s story, one of the pine trees they cut down during their work apparently got stuck and was unhooked using machinery. Then the tree hit the worker.
