A 25-year-old allegedly threatened employees on Thursday, after which the police wanted to arrest the man. He behaved extremely uncooperative and aggressive.
Police officers were called to the Second Precinct around 8:45 a.m. Thursday for an incident involving a man staying at a facility despite being denied entry to the home and threatening staff there.
At the scene, the police found that the 25-year-old reacted extremely aggressively and refused to identify himself. Suddenly he grabbed one of the officers by the protective vest and pulled him towards him. Despite the announcement of the arrest, the suspect put up a lot of resistance and punched one of the police officers several times in the face. With the support of other officers, the 25-year-old was eventually arrested despite his resistance.
Drugs also seized
Small amounts of narcotics were seized during the search. Two police officers and the arrested man were injured in the incident.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect had already threatened a teacher during a course in recent days and had physically attacked another participant. The man was reported several times, but he did not confess during interrogation. He was released after consultation with the Viennese public prosecutor’s office.
