A cyclist (37) suffered serious head injuries on Friday afternoon when two bicycles collided in Innsbruck. The second person involved in the accident was also injured, albeit less seriously.
The accident happened on Friday around 1:50 p.m. on the side lane of Kranebitter Allee in the capital of Tyrol. The 37-year-old resident was riding his racing bike when a 27-year-old German approached him. As the cyclists passed each other, their bikes collided.
The 37-year-old was thrown headfirst from his racing bike onto the street and suffered serious head injuries. The rescue took him to the clinic in Innsbruck. The 27-year-old German suffered an injury to his left hand. He sought medical help himself.
