A police officer (57) died on Saturday morning after an argument in a garden in Thuringia. The cause of death is a mystery.
According to initial investigations, an 18-year-old broke into an apartment building in Bad Frankenhausen at 12:30 on Saturday. The residents of the five-storey building heard suspicious noises and alerted the police.
According to the police, the 18-year-old German showed resistance towards the officers and rescuers during the operation.
Resuscitation fails
When he was arrested, the 18-year-old lashed out wildly and a scuffle broke out. The 57-year-old was injured. Shortly afterwards he collapsed. Despite immediate resuscitation and transfer to a hospital in Erfurt, the officer died in the early morning hours.
