A couple reportedly got into an argument after going to a bar in Vienna-Brigittenau on Friday evening. In the apartment, the woman allegedly punched her husband in the face, after which he took out a kitchen knife. The police were alerted.
The 44-year-old allegedly pulled the knife and threatened his wife with murder. After emergency services arrived, the suspect was temporarily arrested. “During the official act it was determined that the suspect had an alcohol content of more than one per mille,” police spokesman Philipp Haßlinger said on Saturday.
An entry and approach ban and a temporary weapons ban were issued against the husband. He was generally reported.
