An argument between a married couple on Saturday in their shared apartment in Klagenfurt-Land escalated to such an extent that the man hit his wife and dragged her out of the nursery by her hair. She in turn attacked him with a knife.
The verbal argument came to a head on Saturday afternoon when the Slovenian became violent towards his North Macedonian wife. “He tried to cover her mouth and hit her in the face with the palm of his hand,” police said. The 25-year-old then left the apartment they shared in Klagenfurt-Land.
When she returned in the evening, she – according to her own statements of protection – took a knife from the kitchen and entered their son’s nursery to be physically separated from her husband.

However, the 36-year-old followed her. “He pulled her out of their child’s bed by her hair. “The woman reflexively stabbed the man with the knife to defend herself,” said a police officer.
The man was taken to Klagenfurt hospital with a small cut in the area of his right knee. An entry and approach ban was issued against him. In addition, both parties involved will be reported to the Klagenfurt public prosecutor’s office for mutual bodily harm.
