On the B37a in Krems, a car left the road for an unknown reason and collided with an emergency telephone booth. The wreck remained on its side and there was no trace of the steering wheel.
In the early morning hours, the emergency services from the Krems-Süd and Hauptwache fire stations were warned last weekend about a traffic accident on national road 37a in Krems. However, when we arrived, the driver was nowhere to be found. A search in the immediate area also turned up nothing.
For reasons still unclear, the car left the road, collided with an emergency call station installed at the breakdown site and came to a stop on its side.
Difficult recovery
With no trace of the driver involved in the accident, firefighters focused on recovering the wreckage. However, the car was wedged between the destroyed emergency call box, so it could not be set up immediately.
The accident vehicle was eventually pulled out of the breakdown area using a cable winch. With their combined efforts, the Florianis put the car on its wheels and pulled it up the mountain plateau. The accident scene was then cleaned.
