In July, Sparkasse Oberösterreich will begin the general renovation of its headquarters on the boulevard in Linz. Before that, some of the equipment is used to make money. Tables, chairs and the like go under the hammer. You can already bid on the online platform aurena.at.
Every Tuesday there is another one-hour viewing appointment in the building on the boulevard in Linz, and on May 9 from 1 p.m. a virtual hammer will fall on the auction on the online platform aurena.at. Until then, interested parties have time to bid on some of the banking equipment that Sparkasse Oberösterreich is now saying goodbye to.
While the preparatory work for the start of the renovation in July is in full swing, Stefanie Christina Huber’s financial institution is also busy making space. More than 200 employees, including the board of directors, have already moved to alternative accommodation, and now it’s time to make money from furniture items that are simply too bad to throw away.
18 bids have already been submitted for televisions
From bar stools to folders, cupboards, doctor’s coats, waste baskets and cupboards to desks with partitions and kitchens – a total of 568 items will change hands during the online auction on May 9. When assessing the pieces, the simple approach was chosen: the starting price for each piece is one euro. Yesterday there were already 18 bids for a television, the highest of which was 100 euros. The carpets labeled Arcade are more collectibles. That is what the Linzerie shopping center used to be called.
The overall renovation is expected to be completed by the end of 2025
What happens to the money raised through the auction? The proceeds will go to the implementation of the project, says Sparkasse Oberösterreich. The general renovation of the head office, for which Udo Dettelbacher is responsible, is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
