Is it just a forgotten backpack, or has a tragedy occurred? Mountain climbers found an abandoned black backpack on the Erlakogel in Ebensee (Upper Austria). The police are now looking for the owner, probably a man from the Czech Republic.
At 6 a.m. on Sunday morning, ascending mountain climbers found a black backpack near a tree in Ebensee, on the Erlakogel Normalweg at 1,380 meters above sea level. After a search with the Libelle police helicopter, the location was further searched, without success.

The contents of the backpack consisted almost entirely of carefully packaged food (packed in Tupperware and wrapped in cellophane) and a pair of men’s shorts (GR L). Furthermore, a charging cable, a receipt from a Czech store in Prague (printed on April 13, 2024 at 11:36 am) and a change receipt, showing that 597 Czech crowns were exchanged for Euro 25.45 (this transaction was carried out on April 13, 2024 ). performed at 11:41 am).
