Horrible workplace accident Thursday morning in the Tyrolean lowlands: A 72-year-old local woman got her hand stuck in a wood splitter in Kirchberg and cut her fingers. The seriously injured woman was flown by helicopter to the clinic in Innsbruck.

“Her hand became trapped between the wood and the riving knife, causing her fingers to be seriously injured,” police reported. When “Krone” asked, it was said that the pensioner had completely and partially severed one of her fingers.
