A serious accident occurred in the Suzak region of Kyrgyzstan on Thursday. During a hilltop event, a small driverless truck suddenly started rolling and raced through the crowd (see video above). 30 children were injured.
Numerous people – including many children taking part in a poetry competition – had gathered on the hill in the village of Zherge-Tal. The driver of the light truck said he parked the vehicle further down the property. However, for reasons that are still unclear, it was shelved.
According to the local health authority, many of the victims are between nine and 16 years old and three of the seriously injured victims run over by the small truck are in critical condition. The accident is under investigation.
