On Saturday night, the police arrested a speeder in the Tyrolean Zillertal. The 51-year-old resident was caught driving 137 km/h instead of the permitted 60. In any case, he has lost his driver’s license and his vehicle.

In the municipality of Aschau im Zillertal, a police patrol noticed a vehicle on its way out of the valley around 4:25 a.m. Because the car was speeding, the officers gave chase and discovered several traffic violations.

The police officers probably punished the most serious violation in the area of ​​a signposted 60 km/h limit. There he exceeded the top speed with an impressive 76 km/h. The driver, a 51-year-old local resident, was arrested with the support of another police patrol in Strass im Zillertal.

Bills and car gone
The driver’s license was temporarily confiscated. His vehicle was also temporarily seized. He will be reported to the responsible authority.
