A paragliding accident involving a German occurred in Bramberg am Wildkogel on Saturday afternoon. The 50-year-old woman took off, but at an altitude of about 1,200 meters her glider suddenly collapsed.
Legs and spine seriously injured
As a result, she fell and suffered serious injuries to her legs and spine. She was flown to Salzburg State Hospital by rescue helicopter.
The German was training to become a basic pilot and already had permission to fly solo. By the morning of the same day, she had already completed two guided flights as part of her training at the Pinzgau Flight School.
