In Magdeburg in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt, a gust of wind blew a bouncy castle containing a number of children into the Elbe. A total of eight people, including four children, were injured in the accident on Sunday.
The incident happened during a family gathering. The program included a performance by the folk choir and darts football. A bouncy castle was also installed. But the weather put a damper on the festival. As “Bild” reported, a strong gust of wind swept across the festival grounds. She grabbed the bouncy castle and dragged it along.

The bouncy castle landed with several children in the nearby Elbe. The German Life Saving Society, which had a stand on site, immediately attended to the victims. More rescuers arrived. A total of four children, two emergency services and two other adults were slightly injured. Everyone could be brought to safety.
The festival was canceled after the accident. The police are investigating the first suspicions of physical injury due to negligence.
