In the Eggenberg district of Graz, a raid on a tobacco shop on Alte Poststraße caused a stir on Thursday. There was a feverish search for three young perpetrators with multiple comics, hours later the three were investigated.
At about 11.50 am, three young people stormed into the tobacconist on Alte Poststraße and, armed with a knife, demanded money from the employee (42). A 59-year-old colleague from the Deutschlandsberg district then entered the sales area and refused to hand over the money. The three then fled without taking anything with them.
As part of an immediately launched manhunt, several police patrols, the Cobra and a helicopter were looking for the unknown. Shortly afterwards, around 2 p.m., agents of the Task Force Combating Street Crime (EGS) were able to arrest two of the three suspects during the investigation.
