He flew, and flew, and flew! Ryoyu Kobayashi soared through the air for eight seconds before landing after an incredible 291 meters. Now ski flying world record holder Stefan Kraft, who has returned from holiday, speaks out: “Hats off to Ryoyu. I would have liked to jump there too.”
Ryoyu Kobayashi’s incredible jump on a ski jump in natural snow in Iceland was the sensation of winter sports in April. The video of the record flight of 291 meters was viewed more than 1.5 million times on the Japanese Olympic champion’s Instagram account alone.
“Hallelujah. What have they made of this,” said world ski flying champion Stefan Kraft, amazed by the monster project that Red Bull organized during a holiday with his wife Marisa in the Seychelles.
