The soldiers had to move to a garage for training, which caused criticism and even led to a parliamentary question from the Freedom Party to ÖVP Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner.
“Can’t do everything at once!”

Naturally, the barracks boss would also have preferred that a new sports hall be built immediately. “But we can’t do everything at once,” the Brigadier said. The expansion to the army’s helicopter, drone and reconnaissance hub will cost approximately 180 million euros. More has been invested in the base over the past thirty years.
