Stormy and wet – The Easter holidays start rainy, then rising to 20 degrees

Like every year, the weather during the Easter holidays is mainly restless and rainy. Regionally, wind gusts of around 80 km/h can even be expected. The weather will briefly become milder on Monday and temperatures may rise to 20 degrees Celsius.

Isolated thunderstorms and wind gusts of up to 80 km/h are also possible. Temperatures still remain spring-like with a maximum of 21 degrees.

Up the night Sunday brings some fresh snow in the west and south. “Especially from the Arlberg to the Tauern and in Upper Carinthia and East Tyrol, around 20 to 30 cm of fresh snow can be expected on the mountains,” predicts Manfred Spatzierer, meteorologist at the Austrian weather service UBIMET. During the day it remains unstable. Most showers are expected along the Northern Alps. In the rest of the country, however, the sun always prevails. The maximum daytime temperatures are between four and 13 degrees.

Ben Assembly the weather is showing its spring-like side again. The sun is becoming more and more common. The 20 degree limit is also within reach again. It will be warmest, especially in the east of the country, with a maximum of 19 degrees.
