Fear of new attacks and leaks
State spokesman Gerd Kurath also confirms that all affected authorities are working around the clock to fend off new hacker attacks and reboot the technology: “The effects are still significant and it is unclear how long they will last.” the danger of cybercriminals leaking – or selling – even more sensitive data on the Internet.
Data Authentication Confirmed
After data from the hacker attack on the Carinthian state administration was published on the internet on Friday, the authenticity of the data was confirmed on Tuesday. “We assume that data has been stolen. The country will contact those affected,” Kurath promises. The homepage of the state of Carinthia is still offline. According to Kurath, it is unclear when the site will be available again.
