A 29-year-old woman suffered first-degree burns with a reserved prognosis. The other worker, a 31-year-old man, suffered serious first- and second-degree burns.
Two people were injured to varying degrees on Friday when a wind turbine exploded at the wind farm where they were working in Bardenas Reales, the Navarre government said.
The emergency management room of SOS Navarra 112 has received a report of the industrial accident on 4:25 PM and mobilized members of the Tudela Fire Station, two medicalized ambulances, a medicalized helicopter, a medical team from Cabanillas and citizen security patrols of the Foral Police to the scene of the incident.
After an initial assessment, a woman came out 29 years to the Reina Sofía Hospital in Tudela with first degree burns with reserved prognosis. It was then transferred to Miguel Servet University Hospital of Zaragoza.
The other injured worker, a man 31 yearswas transferred by medical helicopter to the Major Burns Unit of Miguel Servet University Hospital in Zaragoza after suffering from severe first and second degree burns.
Foral Police officers are in charge of investigating the causes of the accident.
