Accident drama on Sunday in Mühlviertel (Upper Austria). Three motorcyclists from Lower Austria took advantage of the nice weather to take a tour to the Mühlviertel. In a small town, one of the motorcyclists, a 53-year-old, crashed head-on into an oncoming car. The man died at the scene of the accident.
The 53-year-old from Lower Austria rode his motorcycle on the B 38 from Vorderweißenbach towards Bad Leonfelden on Sunday at 12.45 pm. He was on a motorcycle tour with two friends and rode last in the group. The group overtook two cars. Then the accident happened: the 53-year-old collided head-on with a car coming from the opposite direction as he exited a bend.
Doctor happened to be there
This caused the motorcyclist to veer off the left side of the road and into a ditch. Rescue measures were immediately taken by a doctor who happened to be present, another road user. The Bad Leonfelden Red Cross and the C 10 emergency medical team also rushed to the scene of the accident to provide assistance.
However, the motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident from his serious injuries. The motorcyclists who were friends, the occupants of the cars and the emergency services of the FF Vorderweißenbach had to be cared for by the KIT of the Red Cross.
