The serious incident occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. The 45-year-old farmer was harvesting hay in a field in Ebbs. “While placing a bale on the ground with his tractor and a silo bale machine, he noticed that one of the bales had started to roll on the slightly sloping field,” police said.

The 45-year-old immediately got off the tractor and ran about 60 meters after the rolling bale. In the end, the man had an unfortunate fall and was run over by the bale of hay! He suffered serious injuries to his upper body.

The man’s daughter and an acquaintance, who had helped with the hay harvest and watched the accident, immediately ran to the scene of the accident, administered first aid and started the rescue chain.
