Did you know that in Brussels – in the middle of the EU district – there is a building where the Carinthian flag flies? This includes the so-called Carinthian Liaison Office (VBB), including Carinthian employees. But what actually happens there? And who actually works here?
Handelsstraat 49, 1000 Brussels – this is the address of the beige old building where Carinthians come and go every day. Around the corner is the beautiful, green Warande Park with its walking paths, blooming tulips and shady trees. Young VBB employees in particular like to spend their lunch breaks there.
Today we focus on the VBB itself. In short: Carinthian interests are represented here at EU level; it is the central interface between Carinthia and the headquarters of the European Union. Martina Rattinger and her team are responsible for these matters; the resident of Klagenfurt has worked at the VBB since 1996 and has led it since 1999.
