For the state as a whole, the 19.3% decline is generalized. Only Navarra and Cantabria have registered an increase in sales.
Sales and purchases of homes in the Basque Country have fallen again, with 1,500 homes sold, representing a drop of 25.9% in the Basque Autonomous Community in March compared to the same month last year.
This is the data released on Thursday by the National Statistical Institute (INE), which corresponds to an overall decline of 19.3% in the state as a whole.
In March, 7,231 properties of all types were transferred in Euskadi, including 2,967 residential properties, another 2,827 urban properties (such as offices, garages and storage areas) and 125 plots, plus 1,312 rural properties.
Of the 2,967 properties transferred, 1,500 were through purchase and sale, another 890 through inheritance, 55 through donations, 8 through exchange and another 514 through other types of transactions.
Only two communities sold more homes in March than in the same month of 2023. The increases occurred in Navarre (+37.6%) and Cantabria (+3.5%).
